I'm up every morning at 5:00 am whether I want to be or not. I havn't used an alarm clock in years. As I lay in bed this morning waiting for Snedeker to give me my morning pep talk I couldn't help but think.
What a difference between 5 am and 5 pm. There complete polar opposites.
5 am SUCKS from Monday to Friday and 5 pm ROCKS espesially Friday, Where as 5am Saturday is great since the day hasn't started yet and 5 pm Saturday not so great since the day is almost over.
5 am Sunday is decent with 5 pm Sunday starting to prepare you for the suckiness of the 5 am Monday thru Friday thing again. Well it's Hump Day and the Week of 5 am Suckiness is half over. It's like a Friday Eve Eve. HAPPY HUMP DAY!

Another Weekend Comes to a Close.
Well it's here, Sunday Night. The Close of another half decent weekend. Not a bad one for the most part. I think the Weather being nice and the fact that we're all jones'n for he summer pushed the Nice Weekend Level up a few notches. Didn't do everything I wanted to do but I guess I did enough. Took in the Pens Hockey Game on Saturday Night and of Course they lost. Didn't get a chance to see how they made out today. Couldn't bring my camera in because they said my lens was too long. It's amazing some looks you get when you say "Thank You" when they say your lens is to long. I owe Doug Dunkle a beer. Sunday wasn't the most productive day as far as fishing goes. Went to the back end of the Lackawanna State Park and it seems everything is a month ahead of time, the algae is already making it to difficult to fish it so we decided to take a ride out to the Lackawaxen River for a little trout fishing. We picked up tyler and we were on our way. There were alot of fisherman out today and we stopped at the first open parking spot we found. We make our way down and I casted into the river testing the poles. It only took 3 casts and we got one, Actually Terra got two. Two Ticks on her pants that she noticed and we wern't there 5 minutes. So We made our way back to the car, did a quick tick check, a quick tick spray down and we made our way further down river. Seems the last couple of years the ticks are really getting bad out there. We drove down river and made our way to the Roebling Bridge and having skipped breakfast I suggested a quick snack stop in Barryville. 2 Mambo Hoagies, 1 Roast Beef Sandwich, 1 Bowl of Chile, 4 Pepper Shooters, 1 Bag of Chips, 1 Bag of Hot Onion Rings, 1 Can of Molson Ice and $37.00 later we we're off again, stopping along the Delaware. No Fish to brag of but a good day. A Bad Day Fishing is Better then a Good Day at Work someone once wrote and I have to agree with them. After a brief nap and 2 Steg IPA's I'm waiting for my Banana Split that the Wife is about to deliver. Like I say, not a memorable weekend but a decent one.
Did the "LIFE" and "LOVE" thing today, sorry no "LEFTOVERS" they'll come tomorrow!

VIVA LA BEER! VIVA LA PUEBLA!
Here's what Cinco de Mayo has become in the U.S.: a celebration of all things Mexican, from mariachi music to sombreros, marked by schools, politicians and companies selling everything from beans to beer.
Certain that success would come swiftly, 6,000 French troops under General Charles Latrille de Lorencez (1814-1892) set out to attack Puebla de Los Angeles, a small town in east-central Mexico. From his new headquarters in the north, Juárez rounded up a rag-tag force of 2,000 loyal men—many of them either indigenous Mexicans or of mixed ancestry—and sent them to Puebla. Led by Texas-born General Ignacio Zaragoza (1829-1862), the vastly outnumbered and poorly supplied Mexicans fortified the town and prepared for the French assault. On May 5, 1862, Lorencez drew his army, well provisioned and supported by heavy artillery, before the city of Puebla and led an assault from the north. The battle lasted from daybreak to early evening, and when the French finally retreated they had lost nearly 500 soldiers. Fewer than 100 Mexicans had been killed in the clash.
Although not a major strategic win in the overall war against the French, Zaragoza's success at Puebla represented a great symbolic victory for the Mexican government and bolstered the resistance movement. Six years later—thanks in part to military support and political pressure from the United States, which was finally in a position to aid its besieged neighbor after the end of the Civil War—France withdrew. The same year, Austrian Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian, who had been installed as emperor of Mexico by Napoleon in 1864, was captured and executed by Juárez's forces. Puebla de Los Angeles was renamed for General Zaragoza, who died of typhoid fever months after his historic triumph there.
And here's what Cinco de Mayo is not, despite all the signs in bar windows inviting revelers to drink: It's not Mexico's Independence Day, and it's barely marked in Mexico, except in the state of Puebla, where the holiday is rooted in a complicated and short-lived 1862 military victory over the French.
History of Cinco de Mayo: Battle of Puebla
In 1861 the liberal Mexican Benito Juárez (1806-1872) became president of a country in financial ruin, and he was forced to default on his debts to European governments. In response, France, Britain and Spain sent naval forces to Veracruz to demand reimbursement. Britain and Spain negotiated with Mexico and withdrew, but France, ruled by Napoleon III (1808-1873), decided to use the opportunity to carve a dependent empire out of Mexican territory. Late in 1861, a well-armed French fleet stormed Veracruz, landing a large French force and driving President Juárez and his government into retreat.Certain that success would come swiftly, 6,000 French troops under General Charles Latrille de Lorencez (1814-1892) set out to attack Puebla de Los Angeles, a small town in east-central Mexico. What To Do Today?
You can say want you want about NEPA, but you can't say there's nothing to do. Speaking on behalf of myself I could of even went in to work today but opted out of that scenario. I could also still be sleeping as my wife is doing and I don't blame her. I'm up the same time everyday, I havn't used an alarm clock in years. As I sit here sipping on my freshly brewed coffee contiplating on where the wind will blow me today I can't help but think, I have to use the bathroom before I get into any detail of what I may or may not be doing today, so with that said i'm calling for a temporary time out.
OK, I'm back.
I know what i'm doing tonight. Hockey Playoff Game at 7. Taking Terra, Tyler and Alfredo, Got $5.00 tickets at work and though i'm not a hockey fan I figured I might be able to use my camera for some different shots then i'm use to. Plus it's a Super Full Moon tonight and hope'n to squeez a few shots in. If you like Lemonade you can stop by Kati's lemonade stand at the Waverly UMC, by the Comm, 9-1, homemade baked goods too!!! She is donating all proceeds to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter!!! Don't know if I'll get to stop but if i'm in the area I'm going to suck down a few.
Thinking about getting a new grill but that would mean putting it together. Maybe go fishing for a bit. I hear there's a fish worth a Million Dollars in Lake Wallenpaupack. Yard sales are always fun and there starting to come around. Whatever I do this morning I know i'll need a nap before I get rolling to the Mohegan Sun to place a few bets on the Kentucky Derby before hitting the hockey game. I'm liking TRINNIBERG as a longshot. The Speed is there. Also DADDY LONG LEGS and DADDY NOSE BEST are about to take a few dollars out of my pocket but hopefully they'll replace it.
Boring Blog Huh? Well I'm kinna Posting Just to Post to get use to doing this, hopefully it wont take me long to figure out, but i'm kinna computer illigitimate so it may take me awhile.
By the Way, Terra is still sleeping!

A few weeks back I stopped at Joe's Beerman in Peckville and I picked up a case of Victory Beer Samples. Victory is one of my favorite beers and the sample packs come with one of my all time favorites, Golden Monkey. The Prima Pils and Hop Devil pair nicely with the Monkey when I want more then just a few beers. The Monkey is not a Session Beer and the Pils for the most part pairs nicely if you alternate them. Being a Hop Head it's been kinda of frustrating trying to find a nice hoppy beer I can enjoy for a session beer for the summer months and with the summer quickly approaching I'm on the hunt again.
After paying for my case and putting in my car I couldn't help but notice a tent pitched outside Joe's and quickly noticed it was setup for a beer taste test...........Well, not wanted to be disrespectful, I agreed to try one of the Beers. It was a Stegmaier IPA. As I stood there slowly sipping on my freebie, swishing it around my mouth to make absolutely sure all my taste buds get a taste. After 2 or 3 swishes I felt not all by taste buds have had there deserved shot at said free beer, so I asked how much a case was and asked for another taste. After a few more Swishes I was pleasantly surprised with what my taste buds were experiencing. Now I'm not saying the Stegmaier IPA will take your taste buds by the testicles and slap them around, but for less then $20.00 a case I think I can definitely handle this for a session beer for the summer, which makes Stegmaier my BEER OF THE MONTH OF MAY, As well as my session beer of the summer. And the best part of this is Stegmaier IPA's w
